“Path” is the fourth in a group of small works on canvas within the Elements series. I’m beginning each of these with a word or concept, then painting the background color before adding ink, papers, and cloth Elements. This canvas was created to reflect something of the give and take that takes place while creating… the Divine Connection. I’ve used my own words for the handwritten quote that lies barely seen within the painting. Here are the words I’ve included. It’s the first stanza of a longer poem that can be found on the Shared Easel Blog.
“There is a beautiful dance,
Between the creative spark and the creation.
Listening to the messages and direction,
This is my artist’s path”
(And the second line of “Between the creative spark and the creation” shows up a second time on the canvas.)
The sides of the canvas are textured and painted to match the rest of the background. The signature and date appear on the side.
